Our Name

"Kapat" — the Gujarati Word for Cupboard.

Long before the company was registered, the trade behind it was cupboards and wardrobes — kapat, in Gujarati. Storage furniture is still the technical backbone of everything we build: the hinge geometry in a wardrobe door is the same discipline that goes into a hydraulic bed's lift mechanism.

In May 2019, that trade became Laxmi Kapat Private Limited, with ₹1.7 Cr in paid-up share capital. The showroom at Bhatar still trades locally under a second name customers already knew — Creative Furniture — but every invoice, warranty and factory spec now runs through Laxmi Kapat.

We didn't stay a one-room workshop. Today the company runs a genuine hub-and-spoke operation: raw material and joinery at Kosamba, final assembly and warehousing at Kamrej-Kadodara, and the customer-facing showroom at Bhatar — each hub doing one job well instead of one site doing everything badly.
